What does a Fractional marketing director or cmo do?

A Fractional CMO leads your marketing strategy and team on a part-time basis, typically one to two days per week. They own quarterly planning, channel strategy, team development and growth targets. You get senior expertise at the executive table without the full-time cost.

How long does a typical engagement run?

Fractional engagements typically run three to twelve months with a defined hourly commitment. Strategic sprints run one to three weeks. Workshops are usually one to three days.

When does fractional leadership make sense versus hiring?

Fractional works when you need senior thinking but cannot justify a full-time hire, when you are between hires, or when you want to test a strategic direction before committing. If your role is genuinely full-time work, a permanent hire is the better option.

Do you only work with established businesses?

What is a strategic sprint?

An intensive workshop format that compresses a strategic decision into days rather than months. We have run sprints on brand positioning, channel mix, market entry and team structure. You leave with a documented plan ready to execute.

Do you take operational ownership or only advise?

Both, depending on the engagement. Fractional roles take real ownership including team management, vendor decisions and budget. Sprints and workshops are advisory by design. We are clear up front about which mode applies.
